THE FLYING LUTTENBACHERS (USA) + RAZORBLADE JR. (USA)

When someone tells you he is interested in free jazz, punk rock and death metal, you will say: "Well, it is OK until someone plays it." Well, this time you are out of luck because Weasel Walter plays the drums and he does it very good. In fact, so good that he was joined by the legendary saxophonist Hall Rusell in forming The Flying Luttenbachers, but as he died shortly afterwards, Ken Vandermark (we had the opportunity to hear him play in our little club on June 3rd 2000) came to the band as a replacement. Ken, along with Jeb Bishop, was beginning to rise up to the current status of one of the greates young stars of the Chicago jazz scene. Though both, along with other brilliant improvisers, are appearing as guests on the album "Destroy All Music", this furious jazz trio will perform in the standard cast: sax, contrabass, drums.
