HARUM-SCARUM (USA) + PIZDA MATERNA

Harum-Scarum is from Portland, Oregon - U$A, and consists of four ladies making political punk music.

Christine Boarts describes Harum-Scarum as "a history of influences creating something totally wonderful, powerful and new".

In April and May they are having their first european tour.
They have done several tours on the west coast of the U$A and two full U.S. tours. The last tour Harum-Scarum went on was part of a benefit for the Primate Freedom Tour. The performance part of the tour was to provide financial assistance for the activist part of the tour. That was travelling with a charter bus to 8 major primate research facilities in the U$A to protest against primate experimentation.
Other bands such as Oi-Polloi, Aus-Rotten and Anti-Product also participated.

It is important for Harum-Scarum tp play as many mixed shows as possible, with bands that include different genders and both sexes. Although they want to support women in punk as much as possible they don`t want to play only with girl bands.
Harum-Scarum consider themselves punks, but happen to be girls and dykes (they mark themselves that).

In the last year Harum-Scarum self-recorded and released a 7" as well as a tape.
The new album was released on Tribal War Records, and they will be on a couple of compilations and a split 7" on Malarie Records in the near future.
